Yoga For Kids? Trust me, it's for real.

When my fellow Kidzola partners told me that they were doing Yoga, I kind of laughed. Not because of Yoga, by any means. But that they actually had time to devote to doing it and were actually ABLE to do it. It was more of a laugh of "are they nuts-that is HARD, what are they thinking".

And then they told me their kids were trying it along with them. I about passed out hearing that their kids, not all that much older than my kids, were doing Yoga? These little ones, were doing something as amazing as Yoga and I could barely walk around my neighborhood without being exhausted? Man, I've got to get back in shape (which is funny, because I'm not super sure I have ever "been in shape."

In any event, it was sort of ironic, because about the same time they told me this news of their new Yoga devotion a new store popped up on Kidzola.com. This store may not have a ton of inventory, but it's got the two KEY tools for kids to get into Yoga. It's got a Yoga Mat and it's got a DVD just for Kids Yoga. You cannot get any better than that!

Visit and check out both items at Yoga By The Dozen-A Kids Yoga Place.

Welcome Our New Store: Hurtie Hug

We're always excited to welcome a new store to Kidzola's family. Let's give a big "hug" to your brand new store "Hurtie Hug"! If you haven't heard of Hurtie Hug, it's a great soft fleece pouch with adjustable arms that you can put a hot or cold pack in. It provides soothing relief from bumps, bruises, minor burns, rashes, insect bites and a myriad of other "ouchies" your kids will end up with over the years.

Kids can't help but love this kind of HUG! It comes in four colors: blue, yellow, purple and pink. Get this - adults can use them, too. Of course, you'll have to clear it with the kids! Use it for sprains, sports injuries, joint pain, carpal tunnel and the list goes on!

Such a great idea from moms Kelli and Katie! Well done, ladies. We're excited to have you join our family.

Please, visit their store here --> Hug the Pain Away

First Day of School

Many of you know me, I'm the Marketing Manager for Kidzola. I do most of the writing for the company, I'm it's "voice" if you will. I'm also a Mom. I have two children. One is going to be 4, one will be 2. My daughter started PreK on this beautiful day here in New York.

Her starting school has brought about many mixed emotions for me. I'm sad, yet excited for my daughter as she starts her first day of PreK. It did not go well when I dropped her off. She was good, went on the potty when we got there, talked to some of the teachers, showed them her Barbie she named Tori, after the lead character on Victorious. Then Mommy told her it was time for me to go. She gave me a kiss, a hug and then the tears started. I told her I'd be back soon with Daddy and her little brother to pick her up, but she had to stay and get to know everyone. I offered to get her photo album so she could show Miss Katie and Miss Barbara her family. She said now and grabbed for my hand with each step I took toward the door. Would not let me leave. Followed me out.

I picked her up, brought her to the window and told her I'd wave from the other side, but she had to stay. This was part of being a big girl and the big sister. I sat her down at the table by the window, walked toward the door and there she was, out the door with me. Coaxing her back in was not happening, so I picked her up again, put her back in the chair and told the teachers they'd have to just keep her in there, because she'll follow me. She's my best buddy.

So the head teacher stepped in and made sure I could leave. Picked her up and I waved from the window when I got outside, watching her cry and reach for me. Surprisingly, I did not cry. I just blew kisses and waved and yelled "I'll be back soon to get you. Mommy always comes back!" And off I went, called my husband to let him know it wasn't our best showing, but she'll be fine and that I was on my way home.

Here I am, home and still not feeling like I need to cry. I just want to be positive and keep it that way, so maybe, by some miracle, she feels the calmness and the positivity wafting her way.....and it is helping. I know she'll be fine, she has a great set of teachers, an amazing group of kids in the classroom - I mean, so friendly and sweet.

What made me feel better about the whole thing, she wasn't the only one upset. I just didn't want her to be the only one who acted like that. And she wasn't, so I felt better. Like she wasn't totally alone......someone else had separation anxiety. Perhaps the little boy and her will be friends bonded by this anxiety they both have? Regardless, I know she's not a freak of nature, that this happens to a lot of kids and all of them end up being totally fine! Especially when there are amazing teachers to guide them.

Now, what's your story of your child's first day of school? How did you kid handle it? How did you handle it? Any advice for Moms and Dads? Little brothers or sisters who are left at home, without their school age sibling? We've got a lot of parents out there who need the support, let's share!!!

Store Review: Beverly Douglass

Beverly Douglass, not only with Kidzola from the very early stages of our website, but also one of our best selling consultants, has opened her very own store front with Kidzola. If you're looking for clothing, she's the one to visit first! There are a few other items she sprinkles into the mix, like diaper bags and memory makers, but the bulk of her inventory is clothing. Who doesn't love to shop for clothes, even if it's not for yourself!

Checking her store regularly is KEY. Her stock changes routinely, because everyone knows where to start their search if they want to find great quality re-sale items. Beverly has high standards for the items she sells in her store. She takes re-sale very seriously and make no mistake, her customers love her for it!

As I write this post, I'm sure the products I highlight won't be around for long, but she's got a ton of items to choose from, so don't fret - just keep looking, you'll find something!

Beverly's store has a fantastic, barely used Eddie Bauer Diaper Bag on sale. (I told you, she sprinkles in a few different things within her stock of amazing clothing). It's got a shoulder strap, as well as a hand strap. Lots of space and compartments. You have to check it out. She just put it up this month and is only listing it until September 13th.

Lots of little girls are starting school soon, some already have. There are amazing little outfits for them in her store, like a super cute blue jean and blouse set by French Toast. Check it out here--->FRENCH TOAST OUTFIT When fall hits, this will be a great outfit for any little girl. Such a pretty green!

Old kids aren't left out of her repertoire! Even some brand new items, too. For an older girl, a light pink mock tank top that's brand new with the tags. Throw it on under a hoodie, or a sweatshirt and it's perfect for gym class! Check out the Cheetah Girls tank here--->TANK TOP

Beverly hooks up the boys in your life, too. All boys need black shoes for something! Route 66 black shoes, NEW with the tags still on them are available in size 13. Rubber soles are great, no having to scuff them up so your kid doesn't slip and fall. Moms always like less work!

It's the store that has a little bit of everything for everyone who needs it! Beverly is dedicated to bringing quality re-sale items to Kidzola customers, so check back often. Like we said, she goes through inventory at such a fast pace, if you like what you've seen go and shop, shop, shop!

Store Review: Maryann Cunningham

One of our very first consultants on the scene was Maryann. We're talking about when Kidzola first started, back in October of 2008. She was a huge supporter of the site, loved the concept and idea and truly embraced our "vision." When we decided to take the next step into ecommerce, Maryann was one of the first to come over to the "dark side" and open up a store. We couldn't be happier she decided to jump into the world of ecommerce with us and became not just a consultant, but a store owner. Let's take you on a tour of Maryann Cunningham, the store.

Maryann's store is all re-sale products. However, it doesn't mean everything has been gently used. There are a great mix of brand new items, along with gently used items. Clothing, puzzles, books and more!

Do you want to get your kids involved in Golf? Maryann's has a great US Kids Golf Red System that includes a pitching wedge, 3 fairway driver and putter. Totally BRAND NEW. Great products for a much lower price than what you would find in the store!

Maybe you're a new mom, or know someone who's a new parent. One of our favorite products are disposable multi-use pads. When you travel, these are amazingly helpful for diaper changes, or to put your child down on the ground while you feed them a little snack while waiting for a plane to depart.

Just visit and take a look around, you'll have a wide variety of products to choose from. She's got a huge turnover and new products are constantly being added, so check back often!
